The Role

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) evaluates supplier capability’s process, validate the supplier’s facilities, tooling and equipment. He / She will raise up the supplier weaknesses and then identify the right implementation and recommendations to improve supplier processes.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
  • Support the global product development process for new products and ensure that suppliers meet company requirements. Acting with Purchasing and platform about sourcing strategies and their implementation process definition, particularly on initial assessment (PSA Potential Supplier Assessment) and ensure that suppliers meet company requirements per APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) and Part Approval Process.
  • Support current product quality management activities
  • Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
  • Assure proper non-conformity containment tools application and irreversible corrective actions to achieve stable supplier conformity. Grant extensive and deep usage of problem solving techniques at suppliers;
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement;
  • Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals;
  • Verify capability studies to assure process stability and accuracy
  • Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier
  • Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base


  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • At least 3 years’ experience in quality or manufacturing or vendor development functions
  • Knowledge of One-Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematic Drawings & design datasheets. Hand's on experience in qualifying multiple components like contractors, switch gears, PCBAs, Batteries, Sensors, Complex wiring harnesses
  • Fluent English language written and spoken
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Understanding of project management (experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA’s and audit procedures.
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and the ability to travel abroad
  • Previous job experience in the specific role or within Manufacturing Engineering, Product Quality or Plant Quality in Industrial or Automotive sector
  • Deep industrial production processes knowledge
  • Sense of urgency
  • Strongly self-motivated, determined and proactive, result driven; Ability to learn and to work under pressure
