Develops deep customer relationships and acts as primary field sales representative for the core business areas servicing specific accounts and/or a designed geographical area. Endeavors to generate new and/or continued product sales and possesses a level of competence necessary to comprehend and discuss technical aspects of the products and customer specifications. Develops customer/territory sales forecasts. Maintains continual knowledge of competitive products and services. Prepares reports of activities and other data as required.
3+ years’ experience as a sales/technical/engineering position in the same target markets.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities :
Develops and implements customer strategies together with local sales management and aligned with overall and local strategies.
Ensures that existing business is kept and new business developed according to the strategies of the Business Plan in the core business areas.
Creates quotes and proposals to maximize the customers perception of value in line with the Business plan guidelines.
Negotiates agreements within the term laid down by GMBH Sales Manager.
Promotes the sales of the product lines through direct contact with original equipment manufacturers and/or distributors.
Develops sales accounts in cooperation with the GMBH sales team and the HQ‘s presales engineering personnel.
Analyzes customers specifications and requirements for suitability to products; may refer data to presales engineer for further evaluation and determination.
Contacts customers to define sales and agreement on price, delivery, and other terms and conditions. Serves as a connection in the handling of customers inquiries on product problems and recommends corrective actions.
Prepares reports and statistical information of expenses, prepares forecasts, sales call, contacts and other events that may require direction from the GMBH Sales Manager. Prepares regular reporting on his KPIs.
Attends and/or conducts various exhibits and shows. Attends monthly sales meeting in GMBH.
Recommends to the GMBH Sales Manager changes to existing products, new product potential, and new approaches for greater market penetration.
Performs other related responsibilities as directed by the GMBH Sales Manager.
Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers. Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy. Must be prepared for extensive travel (75%). Attends an initial 3-4 weeks of training in Italy at company headquarters.
