Sales and Service Manager / Commercial Director - H19283



Our Client designs and installs automated sorting and distribution solutions for companies operating in e-commerce, postal and courier delivery, airport-baggage handling.

As part of the company’s continued business growth and expansion we are recruiting a:



Location: Milan Italy


  • Lead, support and develop the Italy-based Service Sales and Service Delivery team
  • Manage, monitor and oversee implementation of the Sales and Service activities
  • Co-define the commercial strategy for after-sales services and spare parts
  • Monitor and ensure high-levels of service quality and client satisfaction
  • Ensure that Sales and Service targets are met
  • Conduct market, business and competitor analysis
  • Develop and maintain optimum client relations
  • Oversee preparation and negotiation of tenders and contracts
  • Manage a budget
  • Carry out reporting
  • Collaborate with other corporate functions, collaborate internationally
  • Travel for approximately 25% of the time to visit clients mainly in Europe


Candidate Profile

  • University degree-holder / high-school diploma in Business Administration, Law, Political Science or similar, also Engineering or similar
  • 7-10+ years relevant and solid commercial, people and business management experience from within the sector; alternatively from other industry sectors with a strong service and after-sales culture
  • Experience in market and business analysis, commercial strategy definition, contract formulation, negotiation and execution
  • Experienced in managing and developing the strengths and potential of a Service Sales and Service Delivery team
  • Operates in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Used to monitoring and meeting commercial targets
  • Able to foster team spirit and enjoys motivating and working effectively in teams
  • Proactive with regards to problem-resolution and risk-management
  • Leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good English and Italian
  • Well-balanced, sociable, enjoys working with people
  • Available to travel nationally and internationally for approximately 25% of the time mainly in Europe
