Our client is a global leading Company in the food market (Branded and Private label products). We have been fully entrusted to search the:


Export Area Manager - Rif. H23302
Location: Emilia Romagna/Hybrid  
 

The Role

As a member of the Export Sales Team, she/he will report to the Sales Director. The employee will be responsible for identifying, setting up and managing Private Label business for the Company in currently undeveloped markets. The main focus of this role will be in Africa, Middle East and Asia.

In particular, she/he will have the following responsibilities:
 
  • Identify potential Private Label markets via trade shows, desk research and country visits;
  • Know the key territories, the key customers/distributors and its stakeholders and the key competitors;
  • Work up sustainable business models and pricing structures for these markets;
  • Though a combination of remote and face to face meetings, build relationships with local retailers and/or distributors which will allow the company to launch private label in these markets;
  • Nuture and then manage these markets to ensure deliver of their full potential;
  • Work well with other functions, such as PL marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver the budgetted P&L.

Competencies:
  • Ideally knowledge of the reference market (African and Asian retailers);
  • Experience in Private Label Sales (a previous experience in a brand sales will be a plus);
  • Excellent relational skills and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong negotiating and financial acumen;
  • Experience of new business development (“hunting for opportunities);
  • Team working skills and resilience.

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Business Administration;
  • Professional experience of 4-5 years in similar role in food and beverage companies;
  • English (verbal & written) mandatory;
  • Open to international travel (e.g. 50%)
