Role

The Head of Global Strategic Controlling, Senior Director, strives to build and maintain a consistently favorable institutional image of the company by ensuring maximum transparency in all financial matters.
Specifically, he/she develops accounting and financial strategy and policy, ensures that all departments are compliant with external and internal regulations in implementing processes and developing reporting.
In addition, he/she supports Group departments in managing critical financial and accounting issues, promotes continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, and shares with the Management opportunities that would increase the profitability and efficiency of the business. 

Main responsibilities:
  • Coordinates all the resources of the reference BUs and Legal Entities within the Controlling Department;
  • Ensures the proper preparation of the corporate reports, budget, periodic forecasts, analysis of variances to support the Group's strategic planning;
  • Defines and implements the processes related to reporting and forecasting accuracy improvement;
  • Develops and supervises Business Plan, with related profitability analysis, for new partners and new product launches;
  • Oversees all managerial accounting and financial activities and supports BUs in managing financial activities, such as analytical and industrial accounting, budget allocation, industrial processes, product costing and inventory managment improvement;
  • Reference point for BUs and Group data (e.g. revenues, costs);
  • Shares with Management and relevant stakeholders, internal analysys needed for strategy formulation that might impact business and financial aspects (e.g. chenge of service providers, outsourcing, investments);
  • Responsible for developing business intelligence system, defining guidelines, methodologies, tools and KPIs for evaluating and monitoring the Group's short/long-term goals;
  • Project Leader in Digital Transformation;
  • Actively partecipates to M&A/extraordinary projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Management Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline;
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical/life-science sector;
  • International experience preferred;
  • Fluent and professional command of both written and spoken English language;
  • People management in a matrix organization;
  • Knowledge of SAP software and main financial reporting software;
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI);
  • Knowledge of ITA GAAP and IFRS.
