Our client is an international group listed. With +2000 employees, commercial branches worldwide, the company develops, manufactures, and markets solutions for the control of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

For the Italian subsidiary we are looking for the Managing Director.

The Role

The Managing Director (MD) will lead market activities in the Italian market region and support the growth strategy to enhance company’s customer value and create sustainable competitive advantages. Furthermore, the chosen person will continuously measure and improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness that enhance customer relationships, product positioning and brand recognition. The Managing Director will drive a culture of openness and collaboration across multinational teams and regions. Furthermore, will bear responsibility for profit and loss in the business activities of the subsidiary, making sure to meet targets in innovation, quality, pricing and as well as sales revenues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The MD is responsible for all tasks related to the development of the Italian subsidiary with approximately 30 employees;
  • Bears responsibility for profit and loss in the business activities, meeting the targets in accordance with the target agreement and for management of processes in his market;
  • Assures that the strategy is in line with the Marketing and Sales Strategy of EMEA;
  • Developing comprehensive budgets, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as an annual Business Plan encompassing costs, sales budgets, strategic objectives, and a marketing plan;
  • Together with the supervisors bears responsibility for all human resources related matters concerning the employees and the entity in general;
  • Runs a quality management system to assure the quality of the processes for which the MD will be responsible;
  • Cultivating and sustaining high-level relationships with the top accounts of the Company.

 


Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably as engineer with supplementary business economics qualification;
  • Several years of experience in marketing, sales and management;
  • Successful leadership of a group;
  • Profound knowledge of building technologies, products and associated services, ideally in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) or building installations;
  • Fluent in Italian and in English;
  • Commitment to leadership, initiative, powers of motivation, keenness to establish contact, communicative skills.
  • Strategic (and creative) thinking in a medium to long-term time span
  • Willingness to travel, mainly within Italy (appr. 25%)
